How we deliver

Every contract follows the same six stages, so the client knows what to expect and when.

  1. Tender review and pricing

Kamalta visits the site, checks the drawings against the bills of quantities, and prices each item from current material and plant rates.

  2. Mobilisation

On award, Kamalta submits the work programme, names the site lead, and moves plant, materials and crew to site within the contract period.

  3. Execution

Work proceeds to the approved programme, with daily site diaries and weekly progress meetings with the client’s engineer.

  4. Quality control

Materials are tested before use, and each completed layer or element is inspected and signed off before the next begins.

  5. Reporting

Monthly progress reports and interim payment certificates are prepared in the client’s required format.

  6. Handover and defects liability

Kamalta hands over with as-built records and returns to fix any defect raised during the defects liability period.

03

Quality, health, safety and environment

Every site complies with Kenyan law and works to the full contract specification.

Quality

Materials are tested at approved laboratories before use. Compaction, concrete strength and layer thickness are checked and recorded for each section of work.

Health and safety

Sites operate under the Occupational Safety and Health Act, 2007. Every worker is inducted, issued with protective equipment and briefed daily. Each site keeps a first-aid kit and a trained first-aider, and live roads get signed traffic management and flag control before work starts.

Environment

Work follows the Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act, 1999 and the conditions of each project’s NEMA licence. Dust and noise are controlled, spoil goes to approved sites, and borrow pits and work areas are restored at completion.
